Guantanamo your waterboarding heart out… wtf?+ bus riding poem

hello out there in cyber land… moral of the following story… don’t hold your breath
OBAMA said Guantanamo … would be closed… and now?
umm… still open
And all these innocent people that they detained in Guantanamo because there was no screening process!~
FROM THE BBC
“But the files show that US military analysts considered only 220 of those ever detained at Guantanamo to be dangerous extremists.
They include Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the alleged mastermind of the 9/11 attacks on the US, and Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri, a Saudi accused of planning the 2000 bombing of the destroyer USS Cole in Yemen.
Another 380 detainees were deemed to be low-ranking guerrillas.
At least 150 people were revealed to be innocent Afghans or Pakistanis – including drivers, farmers and chefs – rounded up during intelligence gathering operations in the aftermath of 9/11.
The detainees were then held for years owing to mistaken identity or because they were in the wrong place at the wrong time, the memos say. In many cases, US commanders concluded there was “no reason recorded for transfer”.
- Sami al-Hajj, a Sudanese cameraman for al-Jazeera, was held for six years, partly so he could be questioned about the Arabic news network
- Abdul Badr Mannan, an author, was considered high risk, but his files states US officials may have been “misled” by the Pakistani security services
- Mukhibullo Abdukarimovich Umarov, a Tajik man, was arrested in Karachi in 2002 and spent almost two years at Guantanamo before being released – his assessment says the reasons for detaining him were “undetermined”
- Haji Faiz Mohammed was arrested in Afghanistan aged 70 and is described as having senile dementia – his file states there is “no reason on record” for being transferred
- Naqib Ullah, aged about 14 when he was arrested, spent a year in Guantanamo but his file states he had been kidnapped by the Taliban and presented no threat to the US.”

we got lotsa money for wars
but none for the kid(dies)
the bus breaksdown
people b screamin’
‘bout dirty ol’men
thinkin they treat ladies
like the rappers do
but this lady behind me
aint havin’ it
and the man
right to my left
whispering about her, another lady, and him in the middle
shinning half closed eyes and slippery jaws
colt jolts as as as
& she throws him
on the street CRAAPHOOO
all 63 yrs with his
state prison walkman
& dirty clothes
stumbling pennies
on the sidewalk
the sun shivering in a diesel
haze
her bleached orange hair in waves
“I gotta job, whatta you got?”
flies from her glossy lips as she jumps and spits
screamin “you’re tooold to be a babby daddy!”
eyeballs vibrating
phwoo phwa phwee sho
points her finger @ the clock above
the clouds
long and light black
straightens her shirt
& follows the trail
of trampled colorless passengers
to the next stop
to get back on

some lost world on a war path, Crash plays saturday night free show, + Neil Finn poem

What the heck? every time i hear the news it goes like this: regular americans are getting poorer and poorer, the rich are getting richer and don’t pay taxes, all our great public education and universities are making cuts, killing tons of civilians for what we call freedom and others call control of oil, but what really matters is our bra/dick size and how many shoes we own and pills we are on… it’s like we’re running so hard from what we are doing to the earth and each other… there is a limited time we can live like this before all the presents we keep opening blow up in our face… in the midst of all this crazy crazy, there is hope. whenever i get frustrated about the sexism and all that junk i think about the crap my mother had to put up with to play sports, go to school, become a business woman and it is better. even though there are some people who need to become more enlightened to the whole race thing, at least in l.a., almost all of my friends are dating someone outside of their race which shows progress… i wish we could kick start the progress on the environment quicker before we all get radiated.
wait…!!!!! things are getting tooooo serious… time for a kewt kitty picture..
PEANUT!!!

Thanks Nick Launay for taking me to see Neil Finn… a truly amazing show. his voice was phenomenal and his piano and guitar playing, exquisite … at the end john bryan came out and played piano while finn jammed out split ends tunes… ya gotta love a man who can make fun of his bad perm in the 80′s… he is truly hilarious!
———————————————————————————————————–
his voice
jagged silk & frog moans
vibrating the speakers
purple lights
a sea of people
the man at the piano
whales on it’s broken teeth
something so flawless
flawless misery
I’m not right
I’m not right
boots everywhere
the days have disappeared
and here I am
congregating with the past
white hair and crooked faces
smiling
singing along
swaying with all of us
some lost world on a war path
another beautiful night we don’t care
a man leading us into a fairy tale
of something that can never be again.

though when we see thousands die in a natural disaster it’s hard to think how many cry over one… but she was wonderful and helped save so many lives…
men ded diamonds
more than a pair of legs
more than the rouge on my lips
more than the next man’s last name
more than my last hit
more than a little girls wish
to taste death and beauty
with every day
to save the faces
of those a silence
wished to erase
my rocks, my jacked sons, my anthony’s
so we dance at last
all together
out loud

Hmmm…
So here we are thinking we are thinking for ourselves when someone points out the little grassroots meetings and seminars are being put on by billionaire Koch Brothers who fund the tea party and the Wisconsin Union Busting mission and Scott Walker… It’s so easy to fool us hard working Americans into thinking that corporations are on our side…
yes yes yes, to make america a 3rd world country, to make us serfs, let’s make sure only the rich can afford health and education, that all the arts are funded solely by banking corporations like rockefeller guggenheim brode…
all i can suggest is, like with anything, whether it be religion or politics or katy perry, do your research on where the funding is coming from, what their literature says, and compare… is their inequality built in and are people making a lot of money off the backs of the 99% of us who aren’t rich like that… don’t u wish your girlfriend was hot like this?

days disappear to nights
nights, fogs of longing
for a pen & a dream
for colors
for a world changed to be
that potential
that purest thing
but here we are
armed with credit cards
powered by nuclear & oil
soiled hearts
& hazy memory
the oasis of love
somewhere on the other side of this machine gun
that childhood dance in the snow
the roll of the waves
over every sad face
running with the wind
arms outstretched
humanity
cutting off our own limbs
for a piece of imaginary
some paper
some drug
a name
my aunt has cancer
like everybody else’s aunt or parent
oh, but if it weren’t for the laughter

as a person who loves to rock n roll
get dressed crazy
and be arty
i often find it hard to navigate my artistic desires
and the overwhelming sadness of the destruction of our planet
i love japan and am saddened to these wonderful people suffering so much
at the same time i am aware that many nuclear reactors in america are having sever issues. we as artists must educate ourselves and the people who listen to us. nuclear energy is dangerous. right now, the same company from japan that is responsible for the leaking power plant is in negotiations to help fund another plant in south texas. alternative energy is a must!
friday’s episode of democracy now is amazing and explains a lot.
if you don’t listen to this show you may consider starting if you want to be more informed about what’s happening on our planet from the non corporate perspective… meaning the rest of us

Hit So Hard the Documentary, Last Night In Austin, Poem ++++ secrets

After 2 days straight in a car from AUSTIN to LA
after nights of crashing on strangers floors
being flea bitten
unwillingly hot boxed
dirtied by chi hua hua pee
days wandering through bands lifelines and screams and dirty dirty bass beats
i am back!!!
HOLLYWOOD I LOVE YOU!!!
THE BEST SXSW thing I saw… well the Fader party was pretty off the hook, los impostros from Guadalajara, JAMES BLAKE RAWKED MY KITTY KAT SOX!!! but really the coolest things were all the strangers that have now become friends from all over the world… loved my hitch hiked ride with Aussie band Art Vs Science
and the sick car rides with the amazing dj fun of New Berlin who introduced me to Witch House and other amazing electronic kicks while roaming in his Saturn…
I suggest seeing Hit So Hard a documentary on Patty Schemel the drummer from Hole AMAAAAZING! My friend Eric sent me to it and I cried and really feel this is a strong piece of art…
thanks to spirit hoods for being such great fans and gifting me a nasty rabbit hood
poem from my last night in Austin
Wandering the city
Overstuffed with strangers
Wonder.
Black hearts
green buses
dirty hair and sunglasses
Lights shoot angles up through the black
Twinkling eyes
I’m trying to remember every shape
Smell
Beggar
I want to know what it is to be the stone under my feet
The mystery inbetween
All things I dream

On the stage
In the screaming sun
Boys with daddy issues whine
Into their cans and tin hearts
Kids rip their clothes
Blow their nose
Ripped panty hopes
The endless nights and wonder
Will I ever make it
Will life remain a slumber
Me holding a pin to a balloon
A question to the thunder
The wind blows
My guitar quivers
All 15 of them r screaming
Blue. black. yellow
Feel the bass rumble
Rubble bones
I look into them
Look
Look
The set is over
Pack up
Go home

SPAM AWAKENING
My hqair may smell of b urnt spam
The room tindered with that cat flame and dragon tatooed couples weed smoke
The couch may curve in my back
Somewhere in the middle of america
A beat up back yard unraked for centuries
The pitbulls in the neighbors yard screaming murder with laughter
The ditched child seats rusted and crying
A dust devil swirls up
I open all the windows in my hosts house
After awaking to their hot box n burnt breakfast
Their dog running around my feet
Beats in my head
The phone rings
I reach
My inked hands tremble
My twenties screech
My mudded out shoes squeek
My blue eyes reek
Of too much fun and tradjedy
The phone gets louder
Vibrated harder
Sings
Sing
Its some other future calling
WRITHING FLIES
Black doves and swaying trees
Broken windows
The texas breeze
Little spiders yellow. And bold
Tripped out duchess’s of the trailer underground
Sing and beat trash can lids and rugs
Dust flies
Flies writhe
Smiles of my toothless lover slither through my mind
And the grasses
Where I lay
Watching the clouds spin away
White tree blossoms rain
PRETTY IN PAIN, PRETTY IS ME
Playing pretty in pain
The chihuahua bites his ass
The days r sunny in grey
I whip out my hot pink lipstick
Hoping to make my day
Wild in pink
Wild n free
Jump in the tv
Soap opera dream
Neighbors cackle
Daddys war drum beats
Dead Mamas bad cooking
The dream the dream
A way out and up
A way in hot pink
Pretty in pain
Pretty is me
